About Us
Who We Are
Crosspoint Church is a place for worship.
What we believe-
The convictions of Crosspoint Church are in harmony with the Baptist Faith and Message, 2000. https://bfm.sbc.net, which is comprehensive in its presentation of important biblical truths.

Discovering Crosspoint’s Mission-
God has a mission, and He has invited us to join Him in it. He said, “Make disciples.”
“It is not the church which undertakes mission; it is the missio Dei which constitutes the church.”
Or stated in a slightly different way, “It is not so much that God has a mission for His church in the world, but that God has a church for His mission in the world.” Wright, The Mission of God.
Clarifying Crosspoint’s Vision-
Our vision is geographic. We see the day a faith community thrives in every neighborhood and social sector in the Treasure Valley.
Our vision is generational. We see the day our great-great-grandchildren know and love Jesus.

The Bible is our source of truth and authority. Man must not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of God. Matthew 4:4
Like newborn infants, desire the pure spiritual milk, so that you may grow by it for your salvation.
1 Peter 2:2
But be doers of the word and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. James 1:22 The Word of God is living and active, sharper than any double-edged sword, penetrating as far as the separation of soul and spirit, joints and marrow. It is able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart. Hebrews 4:12

I give you a new command: Love one another. Just as I have loved you, you must also love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love one for another. John 13:34-35
I am in them and you are in me, so that they may be made completely one, that the world may know you have sent me and have loved them as you have loved me. John 17:2
I am in them and you are in me, so that they may be made completely one, that the world may know you have sent me and have loved them as you have loved me. John 17:23

Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, He got up, went out, and made His way to a deserted place. And he was praying there. Mark 1:35
Then He began to teach them, “Is it not written, My house will be called a house of prayer for all nations? Mark 11:17
All these were continually united in prayer, along with the women, including Mary the mother of Jesus. Acts 1:14
Rejoice always, pray without stopping, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
Jesus’ life was a life of prayer. The lives of the first disciples were a lives of prayer. We make prayer a central part of our lives. The disciples asked Jesus to teach them to pray. We have learned three habits that will elevate your conversations with God.
Pray scripture
Scripture gives you words to pray when you don’t know what to say.
Listening as an invitation to pray
What have you heard today that you need to pray about?
Pray together out loud.

The Bible never mentions when, where or how often the Lord’s Supper must be observed. It never mentions who is qualified to distribute the elements.
The Lord’s Supper is a simple and profound act every disciple can do day by day alone or with God’s family.
“Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.” Acts 2:46-47
The Lord’s Supper is weighty whenever it is observed. Disciples reflecting on the price Jesus paid to cleanse us from sin and to purchase us for Himself, “examine themselves, then, and so eat of the bread and drink of the cup. For anyone who eats and drinks without discerning the body eats and drinks judgment on himself.”
1 Corinthians 11:28-29
Environments to Make and Multiply Disciples
Whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant and whoever wants to be first among you must be a slave to all. Mark 10:43-45
Whatever you do, do it enthusiastically, as something done for the Lord and not for men, knowing that you will receive the reward of an inheritance from the Lord. You serve the Lord Christ. Colossians 3:23-24
We worship together.
The hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship Him. John 4:23
The Father has blessed and continues to bless Crosspoint with leaders passionate about helping us worship God! Perhaps the Father has shaped you with a passion, ability or even a gift to facilitate worship. There are opportunities for you to serve God!
We help each other follow Jesus.

We grow together. “And He gave to the church; the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and teachers to equip the saints for the work of the ministry, for the building up the body of Christ.” Ephesians 4:10-11
God has given Crosspoint leaders to train us to do well the “good things He has prepared for us.” Ephesians 2:10
We have developed and will continue to develop seminars to equip us make and multiply disciples. Current seminars focus on the Four Practices.

…fathers, bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.” Ephesians 5.4
Every Sunday parents serve together to help each other’s kids know and follow Jesus. The Refuge, our ministry to students meets every Sunday morning and one Friday every month. If you have young children or student this is the place you can make a difference!

New neighborhoods are springing up all over the Treasure Valley. The Bible says, “He made from one blood all nations who live on the earth. He set the times and places where they should live. His purpose was for the nations to seek after God and perhaps feel their way toward him and find him – though He is not far from any one of us.” Acts 17:26-27 (NLT) Faith Communities are nimble and fast. They can reach neighborhoods quickly and effectively. God has placed you in your neighborhood so those looking for Him could find Him. You are the light of your neighborhood! Ask the Father how He wants you to build His kingdom.

“And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.” Matthew 24.14
There are currently 3,118 Unengaged, Unreached People Groups in the world. There are no evangelical Christians or churches. There is no access to major evangelical print, audio, visual or human resources. We can discover who the Father wants us to engage.
